Yoga Historically

Ancient texts define yoga in terms of the activities of the mind - the extent to which the mind could be calm and able to focus clearly - and therefore able to make the wisest decisions:

•    Ceasing the fluctuations of the mind
•    Moving from a situation of incapacity to a situation of understanding

Also, yoga can be defined as:

•    Uniting all the aspects of our being

•    A participation in the connection between an individual with their source  -  yoga is practiced according to the individual’s own cultural background and beliefs / none-beliefs.

Dating back to the period 500 BC to 500 AD,  these ancient texts have been repeatedly translated and interpreted, with countless nuances, by countless people.

These people studied and practiced yoga extensively to better comprehend how they themselves - or any human being - could be the best that they could possibly be.
